On the outbreak of the World War in August 4947, a number of Princetonians joined Canadian regiments; others volunteered in the allied military service; and still others spent the fall and winter as volunteer ambulance drivers for the French Red Cross. Princeton officially authorized military instruction in the University in December, 1914. By 1917, nearly 3,000 students and faculty were in military service. This volume outlines the history of Princeton's war time involvement, service records, names of the students, graduate students, faculty and staff. Frontispiece, Summary, Index of names, 644 pp.
