Item #081470 Ministers of God (First Edition). Leon Morris.

Ministers of God (First Edition)

London: Inter-Varsity Fellowship, 1964. First Edition. Softcover. A concise biblical study of the nature and practice of Christian ministry, part of the “Great Doctrines of the Bible” series. It is a useful short introduction to a biblical theology of ministry, frequently cited in discussions of church leadership and the nature of Christian service.

Leon Morris (1914–2006) was a leading Australian evangelical New Testament scholar, known for clear, careful exegesis and works such as The Apostolic Preaching of the Cross and major commentaries. In this short book he examines what the New Testament teaches about those set apart for special service in the church, grounding the discussion firmly in Scripture rather than later ecclesiastical traditions.

Leaves are lightly toned yet are completely unmarked. There is some crinkling at the head of pages 77 through 80 due to a binding error where the paper was not cut properly, but does not compromise the text. A nice little copy.
